What are the general safety guidelines for the product?Updated a year ago
We are committed to the healthy nurturing and development of your newborn as your family begins the long but rewarding journey of parenthood. As such, the general health, well-being, and safety of your child during these crucial years are paramount. We want to make sure that spirit is properly communicated in the use of our products.
With that said, the first detail you should always remember is that the newborn lounger nest is not a sleep product. Our product is intended for supervised lounging or tummy time only, so it's crucial to be present, nearby, and in the same room as your child when they're using the lounger.
To ensure the highest order of safety for your newborn, please keep in mind some or all of the following details while using our newborn lounger nest:
- Ensure that you are always within reach of your newborn. Direct supervision is constantly required. Your newborn can roll, crawl, or otherwise shift around unexpectedly.
- Never use the product inside a bassinet, cot, crib, bed, or any other space used for sleep. Make sure especially sure not to place the product within an enclosed space—like a bassinet or crib—as it makes it further challenging to reach your newborn in the event that they are constrained.
- Always use the product on a the floor or on any flat, firm, or stable space. Never use the product on a high surface, such as a dining table, as they may fall and become severely injured.
- Keep the product away from walls or other vertical structures to prevent entrapment.
- Keep the product away from any open flames or cables that can become fire hazards or have potential for electrocution.
- Never use the product with blankets or pillows other than swaddles or the pre-packaged pillow, as additional layers inside the lounger may cause suffocation.
- Never carry the product with your newborn inside.
- Never use the product if it is damaged.
The newborn lounger nest is generally suitable for children aged 0-18 months, after which the product may be too small for them to be comfortable. However, the product may be used for as long as your children may feel safe in them.
